“I am 60 years old and still going strong. I lost everything and when became homeless alcohol and drugs took over my life. I came to Stand Down met a man named Roy and he said welcome. Today I work for this man because I believe in him and his dream.” – Joe, Army Veteran (1st Cav, Vietnam & Korea) 1968-1971
Palm Beach County Veterans’ Assistance
Services for the Veteran and Their Family
Faith Hope Love Charity, Inc. (FHLC, Inc.), a 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 1994 by two veterans, Roy Foster and Donald Reed. Located in Palm Beach County, Florida. Our goal is to end homelessness in the veteran community.
FHLC, Inc. was founded with the homeless veterans’ needs in mind, offering a safe place for them to stay. It was soon discovered that our veteran community needed much more assistance, as the homeless issue stemmed from mental and physical wounds and lack of easy to access resources to help them heal and move forward. From there, our At Ease and Forward March programs were started, allowing us to help the veterans and their families with everything from health, mental health, financial support, housing and job training and placement.
At Stand Down, we treat our clients with honor and respect, offering them real solutions to whatever challenges they may face. For more information on veterans’ services, please contact our First Stop Veterans’ Resource Center and speak with our team to see how we can help.
We can’t do this work alone, and an increasing number of veterans are in need. Donate today, and help Stand Down Stand Up for Those Who Served.
Our mission is reintegrating displaced and at-risk veterans and their families back into the communities to sustain independent living, restoring their dignity and promoting community awareness.
