FIRST STOP VETERANS’ RESOURCE CENTER
First Stop Veterans‘ Resource Center services as the “hub” for veterans’ services in Palm Beach County. The center conducts outreach, engagement and referral activities for veterans and OIF/OEF military personnel and their family members – before, during and after the service members’ deployment. Since opening the First Stop Veterans Resource Center over 3,500 veterans and their families have been assisted

STAND DOWN HOUSE
Stand Down House opened its doors in May 2000 to provide emergency/transitional housing and supportive services for veterans struggling with addictions, mental illness, PTSD, traumatic brain injuries and physical limitations. The Stand Down House has provided over 11,000 sheltered nights since its opening.

AT EASE
The objective of At Ease is to provide Veterans and their families solutions for permanent or temporary housing. Other services may include educational assistance, financial relief, health care, childcare services among many others. Since October 2012, At Ease has helped almost 1,850 families.

FORWARD MARCH
Forward March program addresses the need for veterans to obtain gainful employment at a livable wage. Offering job preparation, job skills training, placement services and job search activities allows us to have customized program for each veteran. Our Forward March program has helped over 300 veterans get employment since 2013.

VILLAGE OF VALOR
FHLC, Inc. has embarked on a new initiative to provide safe and affordable housing to our military heroes and their families who have given so much. The Village of Valor will be a place that honors them and provides on site resources. The community will house both apartments and townhomes and offer a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for the veterans and their families.
Our mission is reintegrating displaces and at-risk veterans and their families back into the communities to sustain independent living, restoring their dignity and promoting community awareness.
