Faith*Hope*Love*Charity, Inc./Stand Down is honored to announce it has received a grant from the Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) for $13,000, which will fund Stand Down House, which opened its doors in 2000 to provide emergency/transitional housing and supportive services for Veterans. This initiative, developed for and by Veterans, is a multi-tiered program for those struggling with homelessness as well as PTSD, mental health and other physical limitations who have fallen into disparity resulting from their struggle. It provides early intervention and prevention skills for these Veterans and their families.
The funding received will be utilized to provide meals, transitional housing and health needs, employment training, transportation vouchers and clothing for job interviews

This is a serious and ever-growing problem in Palm Beach County. The programs we offer at Stand Down House and our First Stop Veterans Resource Center provide our Veterans with a ‘hand up and not a handout’ giving them a solid foundation from which they can grow and succeed “
