BOARD SPOTLIGHT 
Sylvia Meade brings heart, advocacy, and decades of community leadership to Stand Down. For 17 years, Sylvia has walked alongside her husband, Brian, a U.S. Army veteran who served 10 years as a Special Forces Army Ranger. Their family’s journey through PTSD, nightmares, and long‑term health challenges is what fuels Sylvia’s unwavering commitment to ensuring veterans receive the dignity, stability, and support they deserve.
A seasoned real estate professional, Sylvia has spent over 28 years in the industry — from licensed title insurance agent to luxury realtor with Liebowitz Realty Group. Having lived in Palm Beach County for more than 40 years, she is deeply woven into the local community through networking, volunteering, and service. She first learned about Stand Down through a friend at church and immediately connected with the mission, knowing firsthand how vital these resources are for veterans like her husband.
Sylvia has proudly served on the Stand Down Board for 7 years, including the last two years as Vice President, where her leadership, compassion, and strategic insight continue to strengthen the organization’s impact.
She holds a B.A. in International Business & Finance from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s degree from Liberty University Theological Seminary. Outside of her professional and nonprofit work, Sylvia loves spending time with her two sons — Caleb (30) and Christian (28) — her grandchildren, and her two Jack Russell companions, Baxter & Lilly. You’ll often find her boating, paddle boarding, or enjoying family time on the water.
